Issue adding music to keynote on ipad

Hello, I have seen a few posts but no answers about getting music in to keynote. I have a wonderful preso, I have an mp3, but I can’t do anything with it at present. When I go to add music to add ‘soundtrack’ it takes me to ‘choose audio’ then to ‘library’. Which is empty and there are no options to add or look elsewhere or do anything and no default versions or even test music I can try. It is just a dead end. Any ideas anyone?

MelMel,

Have you imported that song into iCloud Drive using the Files app? If so, then you'd want follow these steps specifically: "To add a file from iCloud Drive or another location, tap “Insert from,” locate the file, then tap it." This should let you bring that file over from the iCloud Drive folder you placed it in.

If you haven't added it to iCloud Drive, here is how you can do that: Use iCloud Drive on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC

Sorry I have been through this and other info, I know HOW to add it, I just can't get any music in the library folder. I tried downloading a track in 'Music' but this doesn't appear. Am really struggling to tbh!

Thanks. Yes it is in iCloud (and my local download folder too). I can add it through the “insert from” function but I want to add it as a soundtrack and this is where i am having an issue :/
