Airpod Pros flashing Amber - Not able to connect to any phone

My Airpod Pros are not connecting to my phone, they are flashing amber and I have followed the various trouble shooting options and haven't gotten anywhere. This started happening about 2 weeks ago when I updated my iPhone to the IOS 15 and now IOS 15.1 software. They are Model Number A2190 EMC 3326519 mAh. Any advise is greatly appreciated. I have had them less than 6 months.
