airplay

I want to airplay from iPhone to my MacPro and my MacBookPro. How do I do that?

A Mac can act as an AirPlay receiver with macOS Monterey.


The compatible Macs are:

2018 MacBook Pro and later

2018 MacBook Air and later

2019 iMac and later

2017 iMac Pro

2019 Mac Pro

2020 Mac mini


Actually the 2018 Mac mini is compatible too, even though Apple didn't list it. I guess the T2 chip is the key for this feature.


The operation to AirPlay to a Mac is the same as with any other AirPlay device: pick the destination from the AirPlay menu and you're done.
