Lock Key on iMac M1 Keyboard

Hi. I have the iMac (24-inch, M1, 2021) model with the base model keyboard (the one without the Touch ID) and ever since I upgraded to the latest MacOS Monterey software (literally yesterday), the lock key on my keyboard (the one with the literal lock icon) does not lock my screen. I have to click "option-lock" or "shift-lock" or "command-lock" for the key to function as it once did, which completely defeats the purpose of having a lock key. I have attempted to change the keyboard functions via "input sources" but there is no custom function for "lock" on the input keyboard menu. I don't know how to get this fixed. Apple Support was a waste of time. Anybody have any ideas?

I already sent feedback to Apple.
