I have a family subscription but for some reason can’t add a family member to Apple music

I have a family subscription but for some reason can’t add a family member to Apple music. It send me to update to family. I try to update to family and a pop up comes up that I already have a family plan

Have you setup Family Sharing? See the 'First, set up Family Sharing' section in:

Get an Apple Music family subscription - Apple Support

Set up Family Sharing on your device. Then invite family members to join your family group.

If you already set up Family Sharing, everyone in your family group will automatically have access to Apple Music after you subscribe.
