Hi I just bought my iPhone 13 less than a month ago and recently I noticed severe overheating of the phone when I am on video calls. Is that normal for the new iPhone 13? It gets extremely hot to the point I struggle to pick it up.

When an iPhone overheats, a warning saying the phone needs to cool down appears on the screen. How often are you actually seeing such a warning? If you are not seeing such a warning, video calling requires the battery to work hard and when batteries work hard they generate heat, which is completely normal, unless again your phone is shutting down on purpose and you see a warning the phone needs to cool down.
