How to eject a walkman?

I use a sony walkman , when I wanna eject it from my macbook, I choose the "eject", but it connects my macbook again in a very ****** short time!!!! I even have no time to pull the USB line away!
How may I normally eject my walkman ?

macbook, Mac OS X (10.6.4), macbook,walkman,eject

Hi Y,

Open Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility and select mounted VOLUME from the left list and choose Unmount in the Toolbar.
