MacBook Pro Library Corrupted

I don’t know how my MacBook Pro Library (not iTunes library or photo library) now contains files it should not, and other files it should contain are missing. The only change made that I can recall is turning off my iCloud keychain for a day or so. Help

Files missing from certain folders in my icloud backup as well as my macBook. Some of the folders backed up to my icloud drive are now empty both on multiple computers as well as in the icloud. Cant tell how or why this happened but I need to get these files back. From reading this forum this seemed to have happened to others also and i have seen comments by people who managed to get their files back after similar problems but not clear how they did it.
