Dear weareblessed,
There are 2 ways you can change your wallpaper on your iPhone.
The first is to go to Settings > Wallpaper > Select new wallpaper. These you can choose from Apple's wallpapers or your own photo's.
The second method is to go to the Photo's app, open the photo you would like to set as your wallpaper, click the share button and scroll down to "use as wallpaper". Apple Support made a great video demonstrating this:
