HDMI Monitor not connecting to Mac Mini

I’m trying to connect my HDMI Monitor to my Mac Mini and it is not reading it. I’ve tried to unplug the HDMI cable while the Mac MIni is on, then plugging it back in but it doesn’t work.

Mac mini, macOS 12.0

Hello DJMikey75,

We're glad you thought to ask Apple Support Communities about the issue you're having with connecting that monitor to your Mac mini via HDMI. See if these steps help: If your external display isn't detected or appears blurry on your Mac

In addition to those steps, if you have an intel processor, reset the NVRAM as that can help with display type issues too: Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac

If not, let us know more:

  • Does this same monitor work with another device?
  • Do you have another HDMI cable to test with to rule that out?

The more details you can provide the better.

Take care.
