Weird gray box on iPhone display screen

I have a dark gray box with the time 8:25 displayed. How do I remove it? It will not respond to any touches like 2 or 3 finger touches. When I try to tap it, the apps behind it respond, but not the box.

Hey NanaTJones,

It appears that you see a dark gray box that has the time displayed in it and tapping it doesn't do anything. If you haven't already, you can see if restarting your iPhone may help resolve this issue: Restart your iPhone

Another step you can take is to ensure your iPhone is fully updated, to see if that may help as well. If there is an available update, you'll want to backup and update as seen in the articles below:
