Hello manum1,

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities and for reviewing the related article Apple Diagnostics reference codes. We understand that haptic feedback isn't working as expected since upgrading to macOS Monterey, and we'd like to offer some tips that might help.

First, head into Apple menu () > System Preferences > Trackpad > Point & Click, deselect, then re-reselect the "Force Click and haptic feedback” checkbox. Also, try restarting your Mac. These steps might sound simple, but they can help resolve some unique issues. Check out the "Change trackpad settings" section here:

How to use the Force Touch trackpad

From there, we suggest isolating the issue to something in your user settings or to a more wide-spread issue. To do this, start your Mac in safe mode and test the issue in a new user account. Here's how:

How to use safe mode on your Mac

Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac

If you haven't yet, you can also check for a hardware issue by running Apple Diagnostics. Since you're MacBook Pro is an M1, follow the steps in the section "Apple silicon" here:

Use Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac

We hope this information is useful. Kind regards.
