Interestingly, the support article:

"Get traffic and weather info in Maps on iPhone"

Says:

"Find out about the weather

Zoom in on a map until the weather icon appears in the lower-right corner;

the icon shows the current conditions for that area.

In some regions, the air quality index also appears in the lower-right corner.

To get the hourly forecast, touch and hold the weather icon.

Tap the hourly forecast to get a multiday forecast in the Weather app.

(NB: "Settings  > Maps > turn off / on Weather Conditions or Air Quality Index.")

Easy access to wind gust forecast information is a feature I use frequently in Dark Sky. I’d love to see it improved in the weather app, before Dark Sky is discontinued.
