MacBook Pro Flex Cable

When will Apple address the pervasive faulty flex cable effecting the 2017 MacBook Pro screen? It is beyond reproach to charge over USD$500 to replace the screen for an obvious design flaw. I expect more longevity from a premium priced notebook and as a loyal Apple customer.

The laptop is five years old. If Apple saw it as a problem, then they would have addressed it by now. Keep in mind most of Apple's free repair programs only cover repairs for up to 3 or 4 years from date of purchase. I believe there was a pending lawsuit over the issue, but I have never heard of the case being heard or settled yet, but that could make Apple address the issue if they lose the lawsuit.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but trying to set your expectations.
