Recover weather widget/app iOS15 for iPad?

When I first updated to iOS15, I did not like the widgets taking up screen space on my home screen, and I removed them from the home screen. Now I realize that killed Apple's weather app, and I want it back. iOS updates do not return the widgets.


Is there any option to get it back besides hard reset to factory defaults?


iPad 7th generation (not Air, not Pro, not Cellular, just basic Wifi model)

iOS 15.0.2



And: there is no '7th gen' option when entering a category for the question, so this is in the wrong place because someone at Apple fell asleep at the wheel when updating iPad device listing.

You may find the iPad User Guide to be a useful and rich source of information - being especially useful in becoming familiar with the many changes and new features introduced in iPadOS15. The Guide is available both online using a web browser (such as Safari), or as an Apple Books download:
