Messenger not syncing with MacBook Pro 2020 and iPhone/iPad

The Apple store reset my MacBook Pro back to the factory settings so now I am having to try to get everything back to the way that I had it before. I am having trouble getting messenger to sync up and show my messages from before. The laptop was backed up to iCloud.

Do these messages appear on other devices? If so, let's make sure that you've got Messages in iCloud on.
