Message notification received and partially visible in the preview, but conversation is blank.

I have recently received a text in a group chat, but when I open the conversation on my iPhone SE there is nothing there. Frustratingly, I can see the beginning of the message in the preview in my messages, but when I tap on it there is no message. The last message was sent from an iPhone user so I am confused why I can see that there is a message, but cannot see anything when I open the conversation. Can someone help me read this message? I have tried closing the app and reopening it, turning iMessage off and back on, and shutting my phone down, but it is still the same. It is also like this on my macbook.
