Are there better screen protectors available that offer a touch sensitivity or is the problem with my iPhone?

The screen on my iPhone 12 mini will not respond after applying the glass screen protector. I have to hit the screen multiple times in order for it to work . Are there better screen protectors available that offer a touch sensitivity or is the problem with my iPhone? Could it be the ceramic screen that the iPhone 12 has?

The problem appears to be with your Screen Protector or how it has been installed. The screen is not responding to your touches as soon as the screen protector was installed. You either have a bad screen protector or a very poor installation. Remove the screen protector and then try the screen again. It should work normally. Return this screen protector and get another one.

I have one on my iPhone 12 Pro and have no issue.

Change 3D or Haptic Touch sensitivity on your iPhone

  1. Go to Settings and tap Accessibility.
  2. Tap Touch, then tap 3D & Haptic Touch. Depending on the device you have, you might see 3D Touch or Haptic Touch only.*
  3. Turn on the feature, then use the slider to select a sensitivity level.
