My SSD has 154 GB left because the other storage category is taking the most. And the solution is to wipe the storage away. So, if I use Time Machine backup to back up my MacBook and wipe the whole storage and reinstall macOS and restore using backup, will I still have the other storage category???

Try something like OmniDiskSweeper for a GUI to get a good look at itemized file size and location:

My solution instead is to put my important files in the storage device without using Time Machine backup because it will backup the other category and reset my mac. Problem solved!
