Recovering Mail account from iCloud account
My Mail account has lost all its data overnight? I need to recover all my Mail account files to my computer but can't find a way?

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes.
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
In Safari login to your WebMail at icloud.com, is all your Mail there?

All my email messages were sent from my domain host to my Mac Mail app.
Also my Mac mail messages were displayed in the same place (ie within "Mail" on my Mac
Since last Apple update this has disappeared only to be found on my Cloud account.
Yes my mail is a an IMAP account.
I no longer have POP email accounts
All I want to be able to do is read all my mail messages from the one place ie "Mail" on my desktop as I have always done.
Not having to access my Cloud account all the time.
Hope I have made myself clear??
Sorry forgot to mention I am using MacOS Catalina v, 10.15.7
Tried Safe Boot .Problem still occurs.
In Safari after login I can see that all my Mailboxes are there as they should be and mail regularly arrives.
Still can't understand why?

This is an IMAP account tight?
And you have no POP eMail accounts?
