What version of FCP, and of macOS?

The recent versions have dropped support for exporting directly to youtube - probably because youtube was about to change its protocols. Maybe this has just caught up with you.

The obvious workaround is to export a master file, and then use the youtube website to upload.

I also have this problem. It just doesn't work.

Apple needs to Upgrade its License Key with Google to fix uploading to YouTube. Apple appears to have allowed lapsing of their license to share to YouTube.

macOS Monterey Version 12.0.1 (21A559) running Final Cut Pro 10.6. I surmise it has something to do with the way browser requests are blocked/tracked as YouTube itself refuses to remember the account signed in unless you physically click the button and it recognizes the user profile again. I've turned off all extensions, cleared browser cache, cookies and history, yet the problem persists in both the browser and Final Cut Pro export settings. DaVinci Resolve has the same issue, so it's not specific to the app FCPX.

This is actually an option from the QuickTime player after Final cut pro finishes exporting. Like I said before I doubt that it is a specific application that is causing this but more of a system block that authenticates with Google.

You are going to have to give more details about this.

I suppose you are talking about options in this menu (see image below).

If you added another option to the defaults ones, it is likely you or someone has created a script to automate the process of uploading. If so, we can't say much more without knowing what that script is trying to do.

Uploading or downloading stuff to or from youtube is always prone to failing, as youtube frequently makes changes to how these things work. I think this is what is happening here.
