Why does ( in the actual text message someone’s name turn grey for a moment.

I know the blue, green and grey when sending a message to someone as far as when you put in the number or contact.

I’ve noticed a month or so ago on my iPhone 11 when sending an SMS or IMessage ( text ) when I type in someone’s name it will be a light grey for a moment instead of the normal black. Does anyone else know what I am on about.

If I were to write : I talked to Ted the other night and…. ( Ted ) turns grey. Any feedback. It hasn’t just happened one time or anything and after I type in the name and space it will go back to being black. Anyone ?
