How do you delete an app? I'm trying to free up space, but when I try to delete it doesn't leave my phone. only my app screen, but is still on my phone.

If you are using Screen Time, go to Settings/Screen Time/Content & Privacy Restrictions/iTunes & App Store Purchases - Change Deleting Apps to Allow.
Then go back and try deleting the app again.

Thank you, I have a new apple phone coming, but I'm trying to keep this one operating until I make the trade. It froze a few days ago, because of the storage being full. That took me half a day to get it up and running again. Your info is a life saver and I will remember to use this on my new phone too.

Great, glad to hear it. For some reason if you enable Screen Time, deleting apps defaults to Not Allowed. You only have to change it once, however; it will remember the new setting.
