Uncheck True Tone in System Preferences > Displays.
Uncheck True Tone in System Preferences > Displays.
It should be in the Displays System Preferences.
I'm asking this for a friend. He sent me a screen shot of the dialog in MacOS 12.0.1 Monterey. There is no check box for True Tone like there is in Big Sur 11.6.1. See the screen shot he sent me in the next post.
Not all Macs support True Tone so there wouldn't be a check box.
Okay... I don't know what model iMac he has. But that may be his problem. Thanks!
You're welcome. I'm sure it's his problem. My M1 MacBook Air supports True Tone and has the check box. My iMac Pro doesn't and doesn't. :)
Yeah, I'm on the same computer you are, and it works fine here. It seems to work on my LG UltraFine 4K display, too.
Actually right now I'm on a 2015 5K iMac and no check box.
