How do I disable split screen on IOS 15 on iPad?

Unlike iPadOS14 and earlier versions, multi-tasking and associated views cannot now be disabled from settings. Multi-tasking has received a significant overhaul, both simplifying its use and introducing new controls.
Key to accessing and controlling multi-tasking is the small “three-dot” button that is found at the top-centre edge of the screen.

Absolutely. My senior mother gets so upset when this happens. She has stopped using ‘her computer’ (ipad) apart from watching her church service.
I agree with other contributors. My iPad, and the one I bought for my wife as a birthday gift are great. Why has Apple ignored customers and made a mess of a perfectly good product?
Yes. I just now did this as Katana suggested. I would recommend that we all do this too. Maybe if enough people give them a negative comment on Product Feedback they'll change it back.

No. Using the annoying “feature” more does not disable it. The question was “how to disable split screen?”
I used that link too . I think they have put on this community just so folk blow off steam rather than report this . So patronising if that is the case .
I understand. I have also posted using that link. Like most big corporations, the customer has no voice.
