How do I disable split screen on IOS 15 on iPad?

Unlike iPadOS14 and earlier versions, multi-tasking and associated views cannot now be disabled from settings. Multi-tasking has received a significant overhaul, both simplifying its use and introducing new controls.
Key to accessing and controlling multi-tasking is the small “three-dot” button that is found at the top-centre edge of the screen.

Please disable the ios 15 split screen on my iPad . Apple didn’t give me a option to do so. Also why does apple refuse to give instruction books with your purchases that are expensive . I guess your only interested in taking seniors money.
This is not acceptable! As someone who is legally blind, this is infuriating when magnified.. I am CONSTANTLY accidentally hitting it… it becomes disorienting. It blocks the address bar on Safari at times and depending on apps, it is too close to other controls…. Which will be a WCAG 2.2 violation.
WCGA 2.2 is a set of guidelines for website development. The iPadOS is not a website.
And, even if it were some sort of law or regulation which applied to iPadOs, no one reading here could do anything about it.

The fact that you made a request doesn't mean that they will make the change you want. It's possible that, if enough people send feedback, they may consider it.

Very annoying to have the split screen constantly popping up while trying to use apps. It interferes with working within an app and not being able to turn it off is maddening!!
Same problem here. Drives me *nuts* when writing in the url bar w my Apple Pencil.
This is garbage. Allow the dots that open split view to be moved or disabled.
Quit taking away options.
I plan to buy a Galaxy tablet and stop using my iPad (and not buy additional Apple products) until this is fixed.
This is simply the worst new feature ever addd. I agree please give us the option to disable it.
