When I use discord for studying purposes. Like studying on a video call on discord. Then I am facing the problem of fast battery drainage. Only the discord app takes 60 % battery as per the activity monitor. When there was Mac OS Big Sur at that time there was no such problem but after updating it to Mac OS Monterey, I'm facing the issue.

I am experiencing a similar thing since this morning. I had the MacBook since 2 months ago, never has gotten hot, and today it has started the battery to get quite hot, I haven't installed anything or have done any increase of work using it.
Kind of worried. I've heard that this might be because of Monterrey update.
UPDATE: I think it's the Safari!! It was using apparently 107% of CPU (Not sure even how that its possible, but anyway).
Closed it and switched to Chrome, the laptop temperature is back to normal!
