Why can't I make a shortcut to Facetime a contact

Since the last big update (15) I am unable to make shortcut to Facetime my phone. It worked before the update but now when I try to make a shortcut, it says that Facetime is an invalid app to make a facetime call.

There is numerous questions about this but no answers from Apple.

Is Apple even aware of this bug? They should be because it has been reported multiple times.

Is Apple planning to ever fix it?

Hello TuomasEi,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you are having trouble with using shortcuts with the FaceTime app. You were successful in using this before the current public update.

We'd suggest first looking at the shortcut itself: Run shortcuts with Siri, the Shortcuts app, or Siri Suggestions. It's great that you're using shortcuts and understand how they work but we're offering this as a first step to make sure the settings are correct.

To narrow this down even further, it might be great to try different contacts or a shortcut to make a call: Create a custom shortcut on iPhone or iPad. We're offering a guide to the Shortcut app to help if needed.

If you've narrowed this down to only FaceTime and using the Shortcut app itself, you can contact Apple Support for further assistance here: Contact Apple Support.

Take care.
