Now that extensions are a thing in Mail (v15, Monterey), are there any good ones out there?
I use plugins like MailTrackerBlocker and SpamSieve but these are plug-ins, a different thing, right?
An extension, as far as I understand, would be something in the toolbar.
If this is so, could some clever developer create an extension that creates Back and Forward view buttons, to view my emails, like Back/Forward buttons in a browser.

Back/Forward buttons in Mail like a browser already exist with the Up/Down arrows on the keyboard...
You can see the extent of default options in the tool bar
