Wake Up alarm iPadOS 14.8.1

as of this morning, annoyingly, my iPad is no longer playing the selected «Wake Up» tune that it has played every morning for the past three years … just a hollow industrial-sounding alarm … anyone know what’s going on and how I might fix it??

Alarm on iPad is not set but rings every morning at 7.45 a.m. I have set the alarm previously for the above time but was deleted and have never used the bedtime facility which has never been set. I have an older iPad with software updated to 12.5.5 and cannot be updated any further. After using the alarm recently for a few times I deleted the alarm time settings, but the next morning and thereafter every morning it goes off at 7.45 a.m. I would add that the normal alarm sound I have set is not the same as the tone of the spurious 7.45 a.m. ring. The clock is the fixed Apple app and cannot be deleted. Confused!

iPhone Bedtime Alarm Issue - Silent Until First Snooze Ever since updating to iOS 13.4.1, I've experienced a strange issue with the Bedtime Alarm. I have it set to alarm at 7:00 AM, but when it alarms, the alarm notification screen is visible but it is silent. If I hit snooze and wait, the alarm sound is audible after the first snooze. If I'm explaining it well enough, has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, does anyone know why it is suddenly doing this and/or if there is a fix? Thanks, Kyle

Hi PronBerry,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. We understand your alarm is no longer playing the correct tone.

Are you using Bedtime or an alarm created using the Clock app?

Are you able to edit the tone, changing it back to your desired tone?

Here are the steps for a regular alarm and Bedtime:

Set an alarm on iPad

Use Bedtime to track your sleep on your iPhone
