Watch will no longer control my HomeKit Accessories

After updating to the latest software for my AppleTV (15.1.1), Watch (8.1) and Phone (15.1) my Apple Watch will no longer control any HomeKit accessories. When I try to activate a scene it says it's done but nothing activates. When I try to activate the same scene from my iPhone, it works fine.

The only thing I CAN do with my watch is turn off the AppleTV or turn on the AppleTV. My iPhone seems to be able to control everything adequately.

Hey dreamburn,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! We understand you're unable to control your HomeKit accessories using your Apple Watch. We'd like to help.

We'd recommend restarting all devices involved in your HomeKit setup: iPhone, Apple TV, Apple Watch, Home hubs, and any accessories. Also, restart any network hardware such as your router, modem, etc.

If that doesn't help, you should reset the network settings on your companion iPhone under Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. (This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you’ve used before.) Then, reconnect your companion iPhone to the same Wi-Fi network the HomeKit accessories are connected to.

If the behavior continues, we'll have you reach out to Apple Support next: Get Support

Best regards.

My iPhone (iOS 15.1) doesn't have a Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. When I search "Reset" in Settings, it shows "Reset Network Settings" destination is General > Reset — which is actually Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone. When I go there, I get a page that says "Prepare for a New iPhone - Make sure everything's ready to transfer to a new iPhone, even if you don't currently have enough iCloud storage to back up. [Get Started] (link)" — then two buttons: one that says [Reset] and one that says [Erase All Content and Settings]. I am not convinced that pressing any of these buttons isn't going to completely screw me over like the Apple Support representative did day before yesterday when she had me reset all my iPhone settings on my support call troubleshooting why I can't add my own credit card to my Apple ID account. So, I technically have already reset all settings on my phone anyway (and had to rejoin my WiFi and retype my password). The problem still persists. I can operate my Homekit accessories with my iPhone, but not my companion Apple Watch.
