Finder not responding on MacBook Air

When Finder stops responding it will not relaunch from the Force Quit. If I try to open it from the Dock, the white dot will show for about 2 seconds and then disappear. This leads to restarting the computer just to get Finder back.

Is there away to reopen Finder once you have had to force quit it?

Hi ProteQ_IT,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.

We understand that Finder is not launching. Open Disk Utility using Spotlight and run First Aid on your startup disk. Allow it to complete and repair any issues found. If you're still unable to open Finder, restart your computer to safe mode. This will limit the login items allowed to run.

How to use safe mode on your Mac.

Regards.

Any Third Party Applications that will interfere with the normal operation of the OS, alter, modify, remove or delete or attempt to do so is an invitation for disaster and may require a Reinstallation of the OS.

This includes AntiVirus, Disk Cleaners, Disk Optimizes, UnInstaller etc.

This will include " CleanMyMac " https://discussions.apple.com/search?q=cleanmymac
