Can't access Apple Music on my MacBook

I subscribed to Apple Music on my phone 11/14 and now I can't access the Apple Music store and menu items on my MacBook. It's working on my phone but not my MacBook. On the Apple Music page's menu the Apple Music Store, Search, Listen Now, Browse and Radio don't work. When I select any of them a message appears saying, "An Error Occurred, Try Again" I can't even use "Search" anymore. The same "Error" message comes up. I've tried again, and again and the same "Error" message keeps popping up.

Thankfully my Library is still there and working. Tremendous relief and thanks that my music purchases are still there. Really weird how Apple Music is working on my phone but not my MacBook. Like I said, this started on 11/14 when I subscribed to Apple Music on my phone.

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having issues with Apple Music on your MacBook. There are a couple things to check:


  • Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID that's signed in on your iPhone
  • Shut down or restart your Mac
  • Restart your network router
  • If you have security software installed, try disabling it
