Ios15 problem

Ever since I put iOS 15 on my iPhone and iPad the delete Trashcan in all my emails account is delayed by several seconds from any action. The screen locks and will not function during this delay. How do I fix this to get the immediate delete action I was always getting.

A forced-restart of your iPad may help - as this will often resolve performance issues:

On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
On other iPad models: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
