Of course, you require a 5G plan with your cellular carrier to access a 5G network.
Initially when I purchased my iPhone 12 around 11 months ago I was told 5G will be accessible only if one Sim is activated if both the Sim are activated it will switch back to LTE. Is this the same case now also after iOS 15 launch.
