I have a disk of Logic Pro 9 and am trying to install on my Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7. I also cant buy on the app store due to i need OS 11.
The 90 day trial worked so i don't know why it's not working.
Ideally i install the Logic Pro 9 and upgrade to the newer version rather than paying for a who new one.

As I know, you can buy it, using computer with OS 11, after this you will be able to download the last available version on your Catalina Mac. May be you have friend with OS 11? Like a variant, you can come to Apple Store and try to ask them to sign in your account on the new device for making purchase.
About updating from LP9, people wrote there is no updating.
