I often have a problem with my Smart Keyboard and the space button. It usually - not not paradoxically - doesn’t function, instead when i type it leads me to the icon up and right on the screen, the one with the safari files. I cannot right properly as you understand and this is something that comes and goes often. How am I supposed to fix it permanently?

Check your Accessibility settings and make sure that Full Keyboard Access is OFF.
If for some reason you need that feature ON, then tap on Commands and clear the special action for Space and any other key that causes problems.
