Shift + Space does "enter"

Question

Shift + Space does "enter"

When I press shift and space at the same time, it does the same thing as "enter". I am constantly making typos because of this. I want to remap the keyboard so it doesn't have that behavior. I found

Shift plus Space on my keyboard - Apple Community

which has no answer, and

which has an answer, but it's outdated so the answer doesn't work anymore.

Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thank you!

Have you looked carefully at the Accessibility settings, especially anything in Full Keyboard Access? These are often the cause of problems with Space Bar.

Do both left and right shift behave this way?

I had the problem again, but forgot the solution, and forgot I had even asked this question. I googled to find this thread and recognized myself from a year ago 😅 Well, see you again in another year, me.

I found the problem, I had BetterTouchTool (a program for triggering custom hotkeys) enabled. It had updated and added the shift + space -> enter. I disabled it and it works now.
