Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

My husband’s brand new iPad is assigned an old email address apparently one associated with my Apple account and assigned to the iPad by the rep. How can we change it to the new Apple ID?

Unfortunately Apple makes things confusing by using the term "Apple ID" for both an account and an email address. Are we talking about different accounts here, or just updating an email address on a single account? The latter should be done automatically as long as the iPad can connect to the Internet to get the updated information about the account from Apple's servers.


Sign out of the old account if necessary; sign in with the new one.


Sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, or Mac --> https://support.apple.com/HT208242


If another Apple ID is signed in you may need to enter the password for that ID to sign out of that ID first.
