2021 Macbook Pro not reading SD card.

We're happy to help with this issue you're having with the internal SD card reader. So we can find the best path to a resolution, we'll need some background info from you. Are you getting any error messages from the SD card reader? If so, what specifically are you seeing? Does the issue persist after removing the SD card and reinserting it? Do you experience the same trouble after restarting the computer?

I am having the issue too.

1. I plug in my drone SD card - Mavic 2 Pro into the slot on the side of the 16" MBP 2021
2. After about 30 seconds i get an error saying this card can't be read and it gives me three options - Ignore, eject, initialize.

If I use the USB-c card dongle I had for my previous MBP (2019) it reads just fine.

I think this is a firmware issue as the OS can read it.

The disk is formatted as a exfat
