Why does it say that my iMessage and my Apple ID have different accounts

it says my iMessage and Apple ID have different accounts? I have an alias I didn't create and it seems to be connected to my icloud with a password I didn't create either I thought my Apple ID was the same as icloud

I've been messing around with this kinda stuff all week. From what I've found, I think that when you first activate iMessages on your iPhone, it pulls up your phone number or iCloud account instead of your iMessage account, so it throws this error up. Wait a second, then back up, then go back to your iMessage settings and just select your Apple ID (usually your personal email). I don't see the error anymore unless I toggle iMessages on/off.
