Storage of Apple Music downloads
In order to free storage but have access to play, can downloads of Apple Music be moved to a nas drive and played from there?
I’m guessing only purchased Apple songs?
See Change where your music files are stored on Mac - Apple Support. Files that Music downloads or rip will be placed inside the designated media folder. I suggest you use a path like <Volume>/Music/Media as the media folder. Typically Music will then create an additional Music folder inside that before the artist folders. You can consolidate existing content to the new path, do not move it there manually.
