I purchased an ipad from a ca police auction and the owner is doing hard time. How can show you that i am the new owner so the appleid can be enabled
If the receipt you received at the auction contains the serial number of the device, Apple MAY remove the Activation Lock. You will have to explain the circumstances to them.

They have auctions 3 x a month and the systems 90 percent new one had a battery issue brand new out of the box and Apple replaced it and upgraded all the goodies i had cause they are all 2016 products

Thank you very much I actually have to run down to Apple on sunday to pickup my new Mac Pro Air that was never open and when I plugged it in after sleeping since 2015 decided the battery was dead, Apple upgraded all the new apple products for me and replaced battery.
So now i am on my new ipad air 2 and loving that little monster to death I sure appreciate your replies and I hate to wreck this ipad trying to hack it.

Hi Chris I have all the paperwork for these systems so i am hoping they do unlocl it this was going to my daughter and now i am hosed
