New sim wont update on iMessage

Please help!!

I've changed providers and had a new sim but took my number with me but now my iMessage and contactable wont except my number? I've tried updating it and I'm just not receiving code by text

when I add my number on iMessage it just says verifying for ages then says unsuccessful

I have tried all the things turning off turning off turning off iMessage and FaceTime

I have done all that is says on all websites but still not working

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today with iMessage. It sounds like it won't turn on for you with your new carrier although the number is the same.


Have a look here: If you can’t turn on or sign in to iMessage or FaceTime. Double-check the steps, and also see the section "Still not activated after a day?"


Be sure you contact your carrier to make sure SMS is provisioned properly on the account.
