Connect CASIO keyboard to Garage Band (USB MIDI) (driver?)

Well, I know this isn't a new question here, but I really can't find a solution for it. How can I connect a Casio Digital Piano (AP-33) to a Mac? After researching almost for a month, I noticed Casio don't do drivers for MacOS, however a guy back in 2009 made one that apparently worked. I tried to install it but it didn't work, it doesn't even appear in Audio MIDI Setup...

I used to had a Digital Piano Casio PX160 when I lived overseas, and it worked perfectly in Garage Band (connected through MIDI-USB). And now that I'm back home, my old Casio AP-33 can't connect to my MacBook Pro. It has Midi IN and MIDI OUT, I connect them to the piano and then to the Mac, but it doesn't work well.

In Audio MIDI Setup there is an "USB2.0 MIDI" that looks to receive some of the MIDI information, but not all of it. Like it just receive one note (if I play a few notes at once, like a chord, it just plays one of them in Garage Band).

I tried in other programs but it's the same issue. I also replaced the cable.

I hope you can help me to solve this. I wouldn't like to expends hundreds of dollars to buy a new piano that is compatible with MacOS.

Hello Siderae,

It sounds as though you’re wanting to use your Casio Digital Keyboard with GarageBand, but having issues where some keys aren’t being recognized as expected. Apple Support Communities is a wonderful place for help!

It sounds as though you’ve walked through great troubleshooting steps. In addition to those steps, have you verified that this digital piano is compatible with GarageBand and macOS? If not, you may want to contact Casio for assistance. You can find their contact details and support options via the following link.

In reference GarageBand, and connecting the keyboard. Have you tried a different MIDI connect to help isolate the issue? If not, this can be a great step to help isolate the issue further. Also, you’ll want to make sure that macOS is updated, and that GarageBand is updated as well. More information about updating macOS and GarageBand can be found in the following links.
