I pay for 50g of iCloud storage and I don't have it yet

I bought icloud 50g storage for .99 month on 11-17-2021 I received confirmation in my icloud email. Shows purchase was deducted from apple pay. What can I do to get it to start working. Do I need to activate? If so, how?

i have been telling you. I purchased 50g extra icloud storage. Shows sale. In storage shows 50g storage now. But when I go to use anything at all I get i cloud storage full. Its not full. I bought icloud storage anyway so it would clear problems and maybe make my life more enjoyable with this iphone instead of always frustrated.

Great! You see 50 GB of storage in iCloud and you likely have a significant amount unused.

Two things to try:

  1. Restart the device. That should force a new "connection" to iCloud and eliminate the error of iCloud being full
  2. Sign out/in to iCloud. If the restart doesn't work, sign out and back into your Apple ID.

If your device is low on space, you may need to delete pictures, videos, apps, data as well. Generally, you'll want to try to keep at least 5 Gb free and possibly up to 10 GB free on your device at all times so syncing and other functions work well.

It's also possible that your next iCloud backup (if you're backing up to iCloud), exceeds 50 GB. That would be somewhat unusual but not unheard of if you don't use iCloud photos, iCloud Drive, etc.

You're paying for space. All I'm trying to do is get you to look and see that you have the space. What is your current usage and capacity in iCloud? Why? Because if we see only 5GB that means something different than if we see 50GB. Different solutions and things to try. So, please, let us know the current capacity and usage. Go to Settings > Apple ID > iCloud.

If you're getting a storage full message when you try to download an app or perform an update it's likely because you have run out of space on your device. You can check your device storage at Settings > General > iPhone Storage.

Your photos can be optimized to save space in Settings > Photos. That may save up to 90 percent of your current storage space dedicated to photos.

It seems you're not having an issue with iCloud storage as you have access to the full 50 GB. You seem to be having issues with the amount of space on your device. You cannot add space to your device; if it's full, it's full. You can optimize photos which will help to reduce the size of your photo library on your device whilst keeping originals in iCloud. Otherwise, you'll need to delete apps, data, photos, and videos to make room on your device. iCloud only syncs your data across devices, it does not add virtual space to your phone.
