Need help. My wife and I share an apple id and icloud. We have been doing this for years. When we backup our phones we now both get each others texts, calls etc. We have them set under send and receive, but the icloud puts everything thats on each phone onto both phones.
If I create myself a new apple id will I lose any information on my phone?

When changing to the new ID, there may be some data loss, but you can minimize it. If syncing photos with iCloud, ensure Optimization is turned off in Settings/Your Name/iCloud/Photos and/or in Photos/Preferences/iCloud. Then make sure full resolution photos are on the device/computer. When signing out of iCloud, if asked whether you want to retain data, choose yes.
