What are all those new folders (eg "Archive," "Important," and "VIP") - and how can I make them go away?!
You can hide those by tapping on Edit (top right corner on your iPhone) and unselect them. Hope it helps!
You don't want to remove Archived I think, but you don't say who your eMail provider is...

Sorry I assumed it’s on iPhone because you didn’t specify. You can simply right click on it and delete mailbox. Hope it’s helps!
Well... my laptop tries to delete, not the specific folder, but the entire directory. EG, it seems that the "Important" folder is in my Gmail directory - and if I try to delete "Important" it offers to delete "Gmail" :(
Thanks - but it's on my MacBook, not my iPhone, & I can't find "edit" anywhere.
Why don't I want to remove "Archived"? My email provider is my server: FutureQuest.
