Using iPhone X and it unable to read the SIM card. Under mobile data setting, it mentioned “ an update is required to use mobile data on this IPHone.
I updated the latest iOS 15.1. But still my iPhone X still unable to read the SIM card.
what is the problem?

I think this mean that you need an update from your network provider.
Go to Settings > General > About. If an update is available, you'll see a prompt to select OK or Update. Remove your iPhone SIM card or iPad SIM card from the SIM card tray and then put the SIM card back.
