How to add a new line with scribble?

How can I add a new line using scribble? Currently using iPad Pro 11 inch (M1) with Apple pencil 2.

I found out that if I'm writing a regular sentence, if I lower my hand significantly, it would start a new line. Not the best UX but it works.

But, the same does not work with checklists and bullet/numbered lists.

I don't wish to add enter manually from the art toolbar.

Is there any gesture to add a new line? Like a "/" or something?

New Paragraph / New Line Using Apple Pencil or Gesture I am trying to use the apple pencil for serious writing, but it is insane to me that there is no gesture or scribble movement for new line or new paragraphs. I can do this with dictation, why not with the pencil? It is beyond absurd that I need to flip open the little pencil palette and go searching for a carriage return button every time I want a new line. Writing a certain space below the current line will start a new line, but that is not reliable and is tricky. Simple drawing the return symbol should work. Drawing a '/n' glyph would work fine for a new line. This should at least be something that can be added by the user. We should be able to customize our own gestures or glyphs. THEN you'd have a hell of a feature.

using scribble with Notes app is too unpredictable. Has anybody figured out or found a reliable way to use scribble or the Apple pencil? 1) in the notes app the Apple Pencil randomly decides to start a new paragraph in the middle of a sentence. And there is no way to bring the cursor back to a previous line without opening the keyboard. 2) there is no way to start a new line, while writing this post. 3) placing the cursor in a specific location, is no guarantee scribble will continue from that specific location.

Scribble feature for Pencil doesn’t work any longer in Note Feature no longer works—doesn’t convert to typed text. Immediately a popup for markup which let’s you select type of drawing and use Pencil but this is not the Scribble feature “Use Apple Pencil to handwrite in any text area to convert it into type.” Only option is to use in Markup / as a Drawing. Works in Reminder and actually here. iPadIOS 15.2
